Greek Village is a ministry of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco.

Our Vision

  • To inspire curiosity and understanding of Hellenic Heritage.

  • To act as a bridge between the past and the future

  • To provide a safe environment where campers can spend a week with positive role models while developing their social skills, make new friends and create fun memories

Our Mission

Transport participants to a different geographic region of Greece every year and by teaching them the our faith, history, dances, music, arts, geography, cooking and much more.

A ministry born from the vision of families across our Metropolis.

We are exceptionally proud of our teachers and counselors. We hire responsible, caring, talented young men and women that lead by example to guide, and teach our campers.

They are fluent in the Greek language and are aware that our Greek village camp is a tremendous amount of work and responsibility. Most of our teachers and staff are returning to our Greek Village year after year. They are familiar with the educational aspect of the program and come to St. Nicholas Ranch with the intention of creating a meaningful, fun, safe, and inspiring experience for the campers.

Parent of a happy camper…

“One of the best summer camp experiences my children and I have ever participated in. This camp incorporates both the village life with modern day traditional heritage by providing a weekly curriculum of language, song & dance, and culinary lessons. After a fun-packed educational day, the children would unwind by either a swim in the pool or out under the stars singing along around a campfire. There was so much to do and everything was very well thought out.”

One of our talented counselors…

“Throughout the years, my work as a counselor at Our Greek Village has been incredibly enjoyable. I adore seeing new friendships form among the girls my cabin; I value the relationships I have made with the campers and the staff. I appreciate the sense of community “Our Greek Village” fosters and every year I look forward to it.”
